Air travel The most convenient airports to Boca Raton are: Recommended: Fort Lauderdale International Airport 25 miles to the south. Palm Beach International Airport 25 miles to the north. Only if no other choice: Miami International is very congested and over 60 miles and one-two hours away. However, for some international travelers flying direct to Miami this may be your only alternative. If you choose not to rent a car, ground transportation is available from Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale airports to Boca Raton for approximately $20 (van)-$45.00 (limo) one way. Ground transportation from Miami is $75-$115.
Boca Raton is a world renowned seaside "seasonal" (during North America's and Europe's winter) upscale resort city. Located half way between Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale on the Atlantic Ocean. Most of our training takes place in the summer. While perfect for teaching babies, our sub-tropical climate requires applying sunscreen and drinking plenty of fluids as it can get quite hot and humid. During the period of May 1st through the fall you will see incredible motel bargains. (nearly half the price of the peak season rates). There are many quaint and tropical Inns located across the street from our famous beaches which are small, rustic and affordable. We have listed hotels that are close to our swim school and motels a bit further away, but near the beach. If you stay near the beach you will need to rent a car as the pool is 4-7 miles away from the beach motels. If you do not rent a car we suggest that you rent a bike and stay closer to Florida Atlantic University where we teach.We can assist you with lodging arrangements at reasonable rates. (approx $60-89 per night, plus tax). We will need your credit card numbers and expiration date if you wish us to book your room for you. If you wish to share a room let us know, we will try to arrange this with another participant, if possible. If you desire upscale accommodation we can provide you with a list of nearby resorts and motels. Those desiring five star luxury need look no further than the world renowned Boca Raton Resort and Club (our previous home base for 7 years) which is several miles away and starts at approximately $185.00-$450 plus per night. For your convenience you may wish to rent a car (we can assist you with this). Bike rental is also available for $35.00 per week.
